Yep, it was 98 here today & humid. There was an ever so slight breeze for whatever it was worth...Not much. This whole week is supposed to be in the higher 90's & humid. Not much to look forward to, weather-wise. YUCK!
Except those memories of horses and dogs on the beach... I am sooo envious of that! Like Leih, I think this sounds like heaven.

This thread has me worried now. It's been very nice weather (mostly overcast and even windy) in Southern California (I haaaaaaaaaaaaate heat). But it's only July. And I know the 100+ 24/7 weather is coming. I just don't want it to!!!
Conan doesn't do well in the heat either. He gets overworked VERY quickly. We're taking a break from herding partly due to that. He got so hot last time he actually quit working to lay down in the one tiny shade spot there was in the pen. Judy filled up a tub of water and I put him in it for a little while and he cooled down okay but after watching the heat stroke video on here a while back I've gotten very cautious.
BTW, I also grew up without A/C. My boss feels sorry for me. When she found out last summer I didn't have any she told me I could come live with her I didn't, but it was pretty funny. You get used to it I guess. One time though, in the middle of August (one of those it feels like 95 degrees at 2 in the morning nights) our power went out. So not only did we have no A/C, which we were used to, we had no fans. And there was no breeze. My mom and I slept on the living room floor with the back door wide open just trying to get some air. We didn't even sleep actually. We just laid there and sweat ourselves away. It was horrible. We didn't get power until late that afternoon either.
Right now it's 62 and perfect. Oh how I wish I could hibernate during summer.

You all need to move out here to the California coast. We have been cloudy quite a bit for the last couple of weeks, but it's suppose to start warming up this weekend, which means we are headed for 78! (Dennis and Will should not heed this advice as we are not allowed to have guns out here!) We live only about a mile and a half from the ocean so Kasey doesn't REALLY even know what heat is. But if we're out taking a walk and stop for a bit, he can't stand it till he finds shade to stand in - my husband says he's a total wimp! Poor Kasey - he gets called goof ball, brainless, weenie, and wimp by hubby and the kids all the time.

Up to 78? And walking distance to the ocean? Heavenly.
