Ahhhh, the joys of trying to educate the uninformed about the best dog in the world, tough job huh. But back to the humping bit, any feedback. Dominance or hormones, the young female had her first season just before this started as well. No aggression, just lets play and then she jumps on one or the other, no preference as either one cops it, then she kicks up the ground or carpet with her back feet and back to play.

Dominance. Since the other 2 are starting to mature the older bitch is keeping them in line. I would curtail this behavior now or it is likely to create bigger problems with the male as he matures.
Isn't this the bitch that had the puppies last year(?). That may be where the false pregnancy came from.
If you can't be a Good Example, then You'll just have to Serve as a Horrible Warning. Catherine Aird.
Thought it was the dominance thing, I stop it as soon as it starts. Yes she is the one who has had pups and is a brilliant mum.Three of her pups are training in tracking, OB and will do agility later and all reports are that they are natural trackers and the easiest to teach dogs the new owners have ever had. They just love to learn anything new.
Have had false pregnancys with other females before but none showed this behaviour afterwards so I was a bit worried it may have been hormonal as well as dominance. She is the one who goes to work with Ross the most so she has a bit of a big head anyway. You learn something new every day. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
