Now I feel like I have contributed to this forum!!!!!!! I got Will to projectile snort some diet coke thru his nose. Hope it did not burn too bad Will. BTW what is the name of your new puppy?
Terry
Ian, interesting slide show but why do all those dog look like their doubled over with stomach cramps? OOPS!....Never mind. Those are show dogs. I just couldn't resist that!
Thanks for that Terry, Most I see where I live look like the West German Working and the West German Highlines. They have the classic black saddle, a little black on face, tail and ears and the rest of the body sable/tan which is what they're advertised as 'BLACK/TAN OR BLACK/SABLE. Which now I've found is called 'red'. I'll also be honest in saying that the first couple 'East Germany type' I would have never thought to be GSD's. I'm learning more every day-Thanks.
Ha Ha - They do look to stand a bit funny don't they?
I take it it's working dogs versus show dogs then?
Any show dog owners out there to have a go back?
Terry,
I call her "Jetta", in honor of my old Rottie bitch from long ago ( I recycle names...this is the 4th "Fetz" that I've owned )
My wife calls her "Demon Spawn", but that's another story...

I wouldn't have the heart to lol, I'm going thru the "what should I name my future bitch" stages. It's gotta go well with Cujo, short, snappy, female - I've been thinking up female dog names for over a year
See I'm not even getting my next dog (a Mal I hope) for a few years, and I've already named him. I just can't think of getting a new dog till it has its own unique name. And it takes me forever to find good female names, so I've decided from now on I'll stick with males...
My boy Coach got his name becausen 1 I am a coach, 2 he is teaching me how to train dogs, and 3 every "Coach" i have ever known was an S O B just like my guy is.
Good Luck with her and tell your wife that as a teacher I have several students that I would rename demon spawn........or Lucifer!!!!!
I've had one woman vehemently argue with me that Treck was a wolf hybrid.
And once I was sitting outside a cafe in Baltimore with my sister and Treck and a lady stopped and asked me when he was going to "saddle up"? I didn't have the slightest idea what the hell she was talking about until she proudly explained that GSDs don't develop their black saddle until they've matured... (he's a sable)
