My little psycho will play with whatever I have in my hand if invited to do so. Right now his favorite is the 3 piece squirrel frisbee like the one here on leerburg. Use to be one piece before so many games of tug! I throw one piece and he will charge back for the next piece and on and on and on....... He's got great entry for a JRT!

Do "kick me dogs" (toy sized dogs) count as chew toys?

My dog loves to chew on a plastic hanger...he's a bit of a smaller breed so he doesn't tear through stuff too bad. Be sure not to use the hangers with those little plastics hooks, those will chew right off.
He lays on his back, gets one of his paws entangled in the hanger and chews away!

Tennis Ball in the garbage.
I picked up another Jolly Ball and a ball that hides treats. Now my dog just has to figure out that if she doesn't chew her toys beside the couch, they won't roll out of her mouth and get stuck under the couch.

Owning a dog that has a little indent on her tongue due to a little stick accident, I have to scream "NO STICKS PLEASE!"
I love Kongs. Lovelovelove Kongs. My dog is extremely food-motivated and she loves a good kong loaded with peanut butter, cream cheese, or wet dog food (Wellness). I freeze them overnight in the summer.
I also have a variety of squeaky toys for her, the soft plush ones with squeakers inside. She just carries them around or cuddles with them; occasionally tug or fetch. I stitch up minor holes, or throw them out when they get particularly ratty, but for the most part they last awhile. Plus, I get them for free: agility trials in these parts seem to always give out toys for placements, or toys for participation, or toys for junior handlers. Keep 'em comin'!

Ok, I'll own it...I buy the plush squeaky toys, too.
I don't leave them in his crate because he'll ruin them in a day but when he's out with us those silly, noisy plush toys give him a lot of joy.
I feel like an idiot buying them

My min-pins love the rope toy, hand made by a friend at the club
it is 1.5 m rope knotted into a ball at the end, also a slipper made from sheep skin with a squeaker inside, they also love soft foam balls that are calles splashers, people buy them for kids in the pool.My sheps like empty soft plastic milk bottles with lids and labels removed, a piece of carpeting "old doormat", which is as old as the hills, but treated like an antique, and is a high value possesion in our house, it is frequently rotated, amongst the pack, as no one is allowed full ownership except the BOSS, which is me of course. They also like a kong
stuffed with anything edible and of course how could, I forget
the garden hose, dead or alive will do, and last but not least an old leather soccer ball long punctured turned inside out.
Sitz.. platz...Daiquiri anyone?

My Rotts LOVE old traffic cones, the 2 foot orange type. They shove their heads inside and scoot around the living room. These tend to be pretty heavy duty and can last a bit.
Same goes for the 3 1/2 foot traffic pylons that are about 4 1/2 inch diameter tubes with heavy black rubber bases. Those go to the field and get dragged around. Tires them out for me before bed!!!
