Yuko, she is great...I am so glad to see and hear things working out so well for you (and glad Angelique is so happy too :cool
I am still the most impressed with Taro and that riblet. Unbelievable. I don't know that I personally would or *could* test it like that...but you know your dogs best! It is crazy funny to watch him be so Hmmmm, ho hum, hmmm, hmm with her...
Hi Yuko,
WOW!! If my pup wasn't a sleep in her crate right now, I'd swear you stole my pup, not only in looks and the huge ears, she'a also a little monster
All the best with your puppy!!
Here's a couple of Leah, 1st pic she's 12 wks old, the 2nd one was taken a couple of days ago with my phone, she'll be 4 months old tomorrow.
Yuko, fun videos to watch. Aja is wonderfully persistent. I loved her proud carry of the branch, too.
Taro is a wonderful dog, I'm sure you're very proud of him. What a great reaction he has to Aja. I noticed he first was trying to get away from Aja with the riblet, then Taro turned it into a game playing keep-away and running and having fun. What a guy!
Howard, RJ is looking awesome! I LOVE how evil and serious he looks with those enormous eyebrows. He's already starting to look intimidating.
Roscoe sounds like a fine father. Aja also plays very roughly with Taro inside the house (so I don't allow indoor playing, for the sake of my sanity :-))
It's better out in the yard; more space, more distractions and they're a little calmer.
Michele: Taro does discipline Aja if she sticks her head into his food bowl while he's eating. However if it's a meaty bone that he can carry around, he doesn't seem to worry about her getting it from him and he's relaxed about it.
He'll even turn it into a game like you saw
But you're right, it can be a risky thing to try and find out on an unknown dog. For some reason, Taro tolerates so much from Aja - so much more than he would from any other dog or puppy.
Moka can't get within 2 meters of him when he has food, or he will growl at her. I also have to tell people to keep their puppies away from him because he will get growly when jumped on by them.
Aja's clearly special
Sandy: thank you, and absolutely!! Taro is the best dog I could ever hope to own. They don't get any more lovable and perfect than him. I hope he's around for as long as I am
How is Lear with other dogs/puppies? Just curious, lol.
Oh and Angelique, that's pretty much what I told Mary in a PM. Can't believe how similar our pups are, too cute!
Katie: yes, eventually Aja tires from chasing Taro around and she'll go lay down. Taro will then lie down and gobble up his meal in peace - he doesn't go hungry
Also, if he's very hungry and isn't in the mood to run around with his food for half an hour, he'll just start eating it with his serious "I'm eating, DO NOT DISTURB" look and Aja will maintain a respectful distance.
It's wonderful to see how perceptive they are of eachother's moods
