Well, UC Davis is against raw and will not formulate a raw diet: bones (raw chicken) cause obstructions, raw foods cause bacterial infections, "there is no nutritional reason to pick raw over cooked". It's a shame. Was worth a try.
Can I give Connie yogurt while she is on Pepcid AC, Clavamox(a/b) and Metronidazole(a/b) in addition to the bland diet? She was eating yougurt daily before the accident. Pavel's plain lowfat yogurt seems to agree with my dogs the best - even Suzie would eat it. It tastes less sour than most brands.

I can't see why yogurt would be a problem. The cultures in the yogurt might also be killed off by the two different antibiotics she's taking, but if she enjoys it it's not going to hurt. It will be especially beneficial after the course of antibiotics are finished, to replish intestinal flora.
Gave Connie 1Tsp of yogurt x2 yesterday, everything is OK.
Raw and cooked: how to space raw and cooked foods? When we cook some dog-safe human food (soup, stew, pasta) I usually give my dogs a little for variety. How much time should pass between feeding them raw and cooked, before and after?

At least it caught my attention, and I saw a post I missed before (above today's). lol
There is no raw-cooked issue (or raw-canned or raw-dehydrated). It's just kibble that lengthens the digestion time and keeps raw from speeding through the way it naturally does.
Connie vomited her whole 6PM meal yesterday, it was probably too much food, and today at 6AM a very small portion of undigested rice from the meal given late PM.
She is currently on chicken soup (free range chicken+water+white rice), 2Tsp yogurt+Salmon Oil+E x 2 daily, Pepcid AC 50 mg x 2 daily. I will make her meals even smaller and more frequent. What else can I do? Add some veggies to the next batch of soup? Add hard boiled egg to her soup?
Other than vomiting she looks normal, very hungry, no gas. I wonder if she works herself up so much thinking/begging for food that it makes her throw up from excitement.
Hey Ana, I really don't know about it, but are you sure rice should be part of her diet? With rice being used to bind things up it seems like that hold things in her longer then you want.
Pretty un-technical terms I know, but something just doesnt seem right about rice being part of her diet.
