Exactly, I was still way back at that point. The link to the pediagree database has helped. Now that I have the mimimum understanding I'll start working on titles then to what they produce... Any other tips? Thank you!
You want to hijack this thread and disect Andy's pedigree a little bit? I'm not real clear on line breeding, but there some different titles and dogs that are interesting.
What I like about the definition link is that it clearly shows the "category" such as working / show / confirmation, etc... THIS would have been helpful to me 2.5 years ago.
And this is part of what "fooled" me when looking for my GSD... I was attracted to the LOOK of Falcon and back then thought the show titles were a good thing, PLUS he had all those SchH IIIs! It appeared to be the best of both worlds...
You know Barbara, your not going to the BSP with a showline dog, and some of the trialing may not be up to the tougher standards, I know. But when you look at all the titling on your pedigree, I think that still counts for something. That was the work of people and breeders, its still something.
Thanks Steve - good viewpoint. I do wish we had a local club I could dabble in and learn how to work this boy a bit just for fun... in prep for the "if and when" next pup.

I so wanted to ask, how did you know and I missed this post! Could I????
