Instead of crating her, can you put up a gate at a doorway to keep her in part of the house but not all? This would allow your sitter to enter the house (supposedly) in a different area from the dog just in case things didn't go as planned.
Yes we can. We were planning on crating her so that the pet sitter could enter the house. We also planned on three visits per day to make sure she got the exercise she needs. We left it to the sitter to determine whether she needed to be crated or not. Kinsa loves her leash. Once the sitter is in the door and Kinsa is in her crate, the sitter can show her the leash and hopefully get her out without any aggression, that is what the kennel did. We also have an outdoor kennel, but the problem is, Kinsa is in heat, and we do not feel comfortable leaving her out there unattended. We are going to have her fixed before her next heat cycle, but for now she can not be left outside without us home. We recently moved and do not know the intact males in the area or the strays...
Sincerely,
Wendy
