I live in Ma, too. dealing with Cambridge people though must surely give you a lot of stories.
I've had my share of crazy crazies, but I also get to pick the brains of world famous intellectuals and specialists in every feild that you can possibly imagine.
Its pretty cool to go to work and learn about anything from robotic hearts to international law!
We talk about movies and hairspray sometimes, too.

Look at the variety of folks who chat on here with a common interest. No one can see anyone, bias is eliminated. I just think it's great that the lawyer, the hair stylist, the student, the IT person, the coroner, military, people in ministry, landscape folks, people who one would never have met any other way, all have dogs in common.
Maybe the internet will promote understanding in our children's life time.

My first dog, a springer spaniel named Gus, was how I met my best friend some 25+ years ago. I was an executive secretary for an R&D group at Pacific Telesis and he was a technical writer. I had Gus' picture up in my office and that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
I think we would have become friends anyway but it would have been a totally different friendship. I've known him through 8 dogs of his (and 1 cat) and 3 dogs of mine (and 3 cats). When he started raising Rottie's I was the only one who would come house sit for him. Once upon a time I was staying with 2 Rotties, 2 Golden Retriever's and my Springer.
There is a certain circle of friends that still call me "The Dog Lady".

I think its pretty awesome also! I find animal people tend to gravitate toward other animal people. There are many people I refuse to be around based simply on how they have talked about animals or their dogs. Ill end up in a full on argument, I can't handle anyone who is remotely cruel to animals. and my definition of animal cruelty is often times much different than what other's are.
I actually have an issue going to my inlaws because of how they think a dog should live. I can't stand going over there, and my husband knows this. But that could be a whole other thread in itself lol

I'm currently in law school and am less than thrilled about it. I'm not sure at this point if it's because I don't want to be a lawyer or because I am sick of being in school and mad that I went to law school and the job prospects are not what I expected. It could also be the fact that the bar is waiting for me in July.
So who knows...ask me again in August and maybe by then I will have figured it out.
Juliana,
You are this close, go ahead and finish and take the bar exam. I won't lie, it sucks :-) But even if you don't ever use that degree you have it there in case you want to go that route. Plus, unless your are a rare individual without school loans, it will be easier to pay them off with a law degree then without ;-)
