She has a little feisty side. I can see it in the photos.
I would agree that she is already home. Who could give up a mini rottie?

Latest picture of the little one in all her glory. She's now been in CA for a week and appears as though she loves it there.
This is Gryffin's bed where she seems to enjoy sleeping with him. He's turning in to a great new "big brother".

Dana, what an adorable picture!
The picture really says it all.... looks like a match made in heaven!

I agree...and I'm really hoping she's stolen Laurie's heart. That will seal the deal. Laurie was very attached to their big Rottie, Kodiak, who died unexpectedly about 4 years ago from a bleeding ulcer. They were both devastated by his death. It was the first time I'd ever heard Kevin say he couldn't even bear the thought of getting another puppy (they still had 2 females at the time - both of since have also passed away).
Fortunately, he has since gotten Gryffin (now 3) but I'm thinking Laurie still has a big place in her heart to fill with a special dog. Laurie is a 3 time breast cancer survivor and has always seemed to love having one of their dogs become her "companion". Kodiak, even as big as he was and with his protection training, was exactly that. He was Laurie's companion and protector. This little girl may never be a protection trained dog, but I think given the circumstances, if she remains in their home and with Laurie she'll turn in to a wonderful dog who would probably put herself in harm's way to protect her. But that's just my gut speaking here.
I also believe that if she continues to be raised and nurtured by Gryffin that she'll learn some of this behavior from him. I know the other Rotties that Kevin has had helped my Springer learn to be an amazing protector of me. But, this is JMO. I know not everyone will agree with this or feel that it's appropriate. I just know that I've seen it happen. Sort of like the influence of a mother on her puppies that Aaron talked about in another thread.
I think as this little girl becomes healthy and nurtured and develops her own true personality, she's going to become a character, and yes, very feisty. Those are the qualities that I'm hoping will endear her to Kevin & Laurie. I do truly hope she has found her forever home.

Just a few pics of the little girl that is from the Houston ASPCA seizure. Kevin has had her since the 19th of March. As you can see, she's one happy girl. Gryffin is the big guy. Kev said she adores Gryffin, is doing wonderfully and has learned a great deal from the big guy.
I'm planning a trip to CA next month (get to meet Hilarie!!!) and I'll get the opportunity to meet the little one.
I'm still willing to bet he won't be looking for a home for her anytime soon!!!

I think you need to get Callie, Gryffin, and the new girl together. Gryffin alone totally dwarfs her, but add Callie into the mix, and it'd make for some amusing pictures. Big Rottie, bigger Rottie, TINY Rottie!

A friend of mine here in Columbus fostered 4 of these Texas rotties. 3 of them have already found homes, and the 4th just needs a little work on his exuberance. Apparently he's quite good at knocking people down.
It amazes me that these dogs were all able to bounce back so well from living in deplorable conditions.
I got interested in the case and did some digging. Apparently they landed in Texas as the state of Virginia (or maybe the local govt, can't remember) would not allow them to run a kennel as large as they wanted to.

If I did would you stop making fun of my skinny, long-legged, mini-mal?????
It's too bad he lives in CA or I'm sure they would have all been together to play by now.
And JD would have been standing around going "Look at me, I'm a big dog now!!!"
