His eyes still have times of getting a little red now and then, but other than that no problems. We stopped chasing the food allergy thing a vet had us spending money on and just concentrated on health. Semi- regular probiotics. I am curious to see how this spring goes once he's on the Protandim for awhile, but he only gets a half a people dose, so it could be better. Thanks for the links. J

Food allergies exist, of course. But that "try this food and then this one" does zero for tracking down a food allergen except wasting a potential novel (novel, never-eaten, for the individual dog) protein that could have otherwise been used in a serious and useful strict food elimination trial. I'm really glad to hear that!
