If you want to have a good laugh at the "show" world, you should rent the movie "Best of Breed". It's not bad if you can stay awake through some of the slow parts.

Me! Me!! I've got a good halti story!!!!
Walking with my dog past a man with a huge lab on a halti. Dog is a good 3 feet in front of the owner who is trying with his arm extended to keep up to his dog.
I said, "Why don't you use a prong. It would probably work better."
He said, "Oh this is a Halti. It's designed to keep the dog from pulling."
See....VanCamp CAN participate in a general conversation forum without closing it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
At least this one has something to do with dogs.
JRT: Intensly lunging against the mini-prong trying to reach out and "touch" a neighborhood Pekenese (off leash) that doesn't have a clue.
Peke's owner: "Oh. . .look at that. . .she wants to play!"
Me: "No mam, she is a little aggressive to small animals. She is a hunting terrier. I think you should keep you dog away from us." (as I am walking away. . .)
Peke's owner: "You know you should just let them get to know each other, she just wants to say hi."
JRT: (YA PAPA, PLEASE LET ME SAY HI!!)

Me: (maybe I should teach this lady a lesson. . .)
Thanks all! This thread is just what I needed to keep me awake through the "I ate too much big potluck BBQ lunch at work because it's Friday and summer" lethargy.
Have a nice weekend!
