Wanted to update everyone on Chaos's hot spots. They are looking awesome so far. Dried up all the way and now the scabs are healing great too. I did sit him in a medicated bath the other day to loosen up the ones on the base of his tail. I checked today and they are great. I will continue from now on with his regimine that I started last Tuesday. Morning and night, he is getting 2 cups each feeding of California Natural, 2 heaping tbs. of yogart, 1 egg raw with shell, 4 fish oil capsules, 1 vitamin E capsule, and then his Clavamox meds mixed in also. He gobbles it up with out any problems. I am hoping that this all helps his coat of showing too. I wish I never would have changed his food in the first place, but it's too late now. I have never had a problem feeding my dogs the cheaper stuff, until Chaos! I guess he really does live up to his name, LOL. Thanks for all of your advice and help through this thread. Chaos says WOOOOOF, happily!
Ok, just when I thought it was all getting better, I noticed Chaos biting at his back where one of the hot spots are, which where HEALING! It started to bleed a little bit. I cleaned it off again and put more panalog on it when I left for work this morning and it seems to be doing better tonight. It's been what, a week and a half now that he has changed food and I added all the stuff that I am putting in it. California Natural, egg and shell, Fish oil, Vitamin E, and his clavamox until gone. He has also had medicated baths. I put front line on him since I washed the other off when I gave him his first medicated bath, and forgot that I had just front lined him the day before! He has also had a flea bath, and found nothing on him! I don't get it. I wish this stuff would clear up and soon!
I love the boy and would do anything for him. He's like one of my kids. I hope he gets better as soon as possible and his hair grows back quick, but I don't think that will happen fast. It just sucks that we are missing out on so many dog shows because of this. Can't show a dog with hair missing!!!!!!!! Poor fella.

Like what? He has a full bag of California Natural to go through before I will buy anything else. I thought it was helping and clearing it up.
I know you are not ready for fresh, BUT here are two good ideas for a while, both of which will get all the grains out of his system and give his immune system a boost:
You could get Wellness canned. They came out with three no-grain versions last year, and all three are 95% meat. (Read the labels, because they also have foods WITH grains.) I understand that it's spendy, but think of how worth it it would be to get rid of these hot spots. Yes, the good food you are using IS helping him (as you are seeing), and you could help even more for a while. You could put the CA Natural bag, rolled up tight, into a heavy-duty trash bag for freshness while you do the Wellness trial.
