the vet thinks it is just wait and see-yes, i have gotten great advice!
so, i can't find that damn large syringe, but being the innovative person that i am, i found an old hair dye application bottle, i cleaned it out super well, and filled it with grated chicken, broth, kelp, alfalfa and vit. c powder, and some pedialyte, and am using that to "syringe" feed them. Boy, they hate it, but they need food, and they won't eat anything.
Good job.
And you're doing damned good to have lost only one. Poor lil guy..... but he had you, he had his littermates, no fear or cold or thirst..... you're doing great. He just couldn't make it.

yeah, i slept on the floor with them, and he snugled under tha blankets with mee all night, though he kept wanting to breath in my face, ha. And this morning before he died, i wrapped him up caccoon style in a sling and i carried him around with me.
my own adult dogs are so confused as to why they can only go in my bedroom and the hallway, my house is pretty small, and they are 3 biggish dogs.
Up until this past year, they have all been vaccinated, should i continue to block them out of the rooms the pups are in, or if the pups are in crates, can my other dogs be in the room, since they have had at their puppy shots, plus at least one booster? They are actually still current save one dog, and she is like 4 years old, so she has had several sets of the shots. We go to parks, and stuff like that, so i think they are fine even if never once vaccinated them.

Well, again, what knowledge I have is not puppy-oriented..... but are you asking if the adults should be kept away for "carrier" purposes?
I would normally think no. The only thing is, right now these little guys are vulnerable to usually-negligible stuff, right? Maybe they should be better first?
Puppy folks?

Mallory, I am really sorry you are having to go through this. I hope you still manage to find some joy this Christmas. Know that you are putting effort into these pups, and you will get great satisfaction and joy from knowing you did everything humanly possible for them, and probably saved some of their lives.
I also had a pup get parvo, and cared for her myself at home. It was a lot of work, and there were some touch and go times, but she survived. I used to worry that she would resent me for all the pain I caused her with the injections and fluid under the skin, but she never did. She is the most loveable dog, and she is 10 now. Don't give up, and don't lose hope.
Your older dogs should be OK, but I would still continue to keep them as seperate as possible if it were me.
Merry Christmas, you are an Angel....

...
OH! Duh. I thought the concern was for the older dogs carrying something to them.
Well, Parvo is a puppy illness, right? AND the adults have all had shots anyway.

true, especially that my adults were being boarded too(at a different local). I am not really concerned that my adults will get sick, i know anything could happen, btu they are the hardiest dogs i know.
Mostly, i don't want the pups to get sicker, but i also live alone, and am trying to stay in the house for the pups, and my dogs are getting antsy.
but on a brighter note, my friend just dropped off 3 huge bags of donated puppy food(chicken soup brand, and eagle pack) for the pups, and a pretty big crate-so now the dad has a crate, and I have almost 100 lbs of puppy food, wow.

That is one great friend!
Now can you round one up to play fetch with or walk the adults?

I would be worried that just the presence of the older dogs could possibly stress the puppies even more.

ha, well, she sent the stuff via a customer(she works at a petstore) who was passing through winston, she lives like 2 hours away. I am in college, so all my friends are home for the holidays, i am totally by myself here. I wish someone would come by, my guys would love to go to the creek to swim. They haven't been in over a week, since i was gone. this will teach me to go an a trip again.....
the little guys are still the same, they are just sleeping. The wake up, walk over to the water bowl, drink, go pee, and go back to sleep. I suppose i could leave the pups to walk each dog around the block, and yet, i am sitting in my p.j's watching pride and prejudice, eating cookie dough and starring at the puppies,
wow, cookie dough, p'j's and p&p, i must be mourning. You would think i just broke up with someone, haha

Oh Mallory, God Bless you for everything you have done. I am sorry you lost two pups. I am sorry I am not closer to help. I am sending well wishes for you and your dogs and a Christmas miracle to you who deserves it.
