Thought I would give a quick update...
The show line male I mentioned earlier in the thread, Jasper Vom Kleinen Teich who is participating at the North Americans this weekend...a VERY impressive demonstration, by ANY standards. Obedience, 86 Protection 92. I have some excellent photos of Jasper doing those phases. I would be happy to post them, but I am limited for time, as I am supporting my region and the regional entries.
Lorri, you make AN EXCELLENT point! Everyone needs to speak to their Regional Breed Warden. This is all very simple, Follow the Rules.
Now it is time to layer on the rain gear and grab the umbrella...showers all day at the North Americans!
Just an FYI
Betty, Moses did NOT wear shoes. He wore sandles and he didn't loose them. I needed a pair, he was sleeping! What can I say?!
I think he gave me athletes foot!!
Yus people are mean....MEAN I tell ya!
HA! Bob I have found your flaw! This whole "been training since antiquity" card you have been so subtly constructing is just an elaborate hoax and you will have to revise your claims up at least a few hundred years. Moses did not loose his sandals (as in couldn't find them) he just loosened them (as in took them off), he wasn't sleeping at the time and I imagine he put them back on again because it's no fun herding sheep barefoot in the wilderness.
I wasn't actually there with Moses, I am just going by a very well know historical reference, which, by the way, makes no reference to a highly esteemed and humorous dog trainer.
Sorry for the hijack, but Bob wast just getting too big for his britches.
It is time to simply let the show people go their own way and pretend to have working dogs and working enthusiasts go to a simple korung and no breed show approach to breeding.
