"take a super nice person, then that person decides to go take kick boxing classes, the persons confidence grows n they become really good at kick boxing - does this make the person any less nice because they have more confidence and know how to fight? no, they are still the same person, but happier and more confident". Dog's are the same way to a certain degree. My dogs still the sweet happy affectionate dog he was a year ago, but more confident, calmer, has a good outlet for his energy and it's fun to do.
