I have a 31/2 yr old shepherd/lab mix and just moved. I am trying to train her to go to an outside kennel to go pee/poop. She has been going in there for 4 days now and i have yet to see her poop. However today she pooed in my sons room. She hasn't gone in the house for a couple of yrs. i also have a 7 month old gsd and she acts like nothing has changed in our house or yard and goes in the kennel just fine. Is this because theres not enough room the kennel is 12ft. by 8ft. they are only in there until they go. then i let them out into the yard. i have 2 kids and i am sick of my kids stepping in dog poop. if anyone can help then thank you very much. Also my gsd is getting pretty protective over the house and yrd.when do i need to worry about it getting out of hand i dont want her to bite anyone. in utah they are dicks about any dog that bites even if its provoked. please let me know...
