I have been trying to buy their Pork dog food, ordering six 33# bags at a time.
I placed an order on 1/18 and on 2/18 I called to see where it was (I ran out of food) and they told me they had their computers crash and they lost a lot of customer info, they didn't even have the order. They took a new order and promised my food within 8 days. Today is 3/2 and they still have yet to get my food to me. I called again today and they said it should be here tomorrow, wow, nice 8 days. She was very rude and didn't offer any compensation for the troubles.
My puppy is 3.5 months old and for the last month and a half has had to eat Nutro Ultra puuppy food (Pet Smart). I learned about this beowulfs place from this site and wish I hadn't. You may wish to save others the grief and eliminate them from the list of kibble manufacturers or at least note their extreme unreliability.
I also had them loose an order in November of last year, they also blamed that on PC crashes. A good friend to whom I recommended them to also had an order dropped in November and in Feburary.
I did tell them that I would no longer do any business with them, and my friend has the same plans.
All in all, these people are the worst place to get dog food by mail order. You will always be running out due to their unreliability. It doesn't matter if you call and talk to a person or order via the net.
I used it about 2 yrs ago, food was just too rich for any of my dogs. Used timberwolf, had the same issues with customer service, then found out diamond manufactures it, so went back to canidae.
I was suprised to read your post saying how much difficulty you have had with customer service. I used it for awhile and had no problems with service or delivery. I know a few other folks who use it and to my knowledge they didn't have any problems either. cele
