I bet the handler feels really stupid, I feel kinda bad for the guy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> I know I'd feel stupid if my dog hit on a hotdog n I was the cause of that delay!! Heck, Id feel stupid for alot less <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Yea I would hate if my dog false indicated. But imagine how he feels, not to mention how much grief his buddies are giving him. I guess better safe than sorry.
"Two bomb-sniffing dogs belonging to arena security “alerted” on the package about two hours before Alabama was due to tip off against Marquette at Cox Arena, according to a university official. . . A bomb dog belonging to the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, was brought in to check the package after the first alert. That dog found nothing unusual. But the private security dogs, brought back a second time, “alerted” on the package again, Luque said, prompting the evacuation."
OTOH, you never know what kind of chemicals are in those hot dogs! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
This is why I have a problem with using a second dog to confirm the first dogs' indication. If they were going to ignore the second dogs' indication, then why bring him into the area in the first place. In the end, they went with the third sniff which was a positive indication. They basically wasted time. It appears they brought the second dog in to avaoid this mess but in the end they did the right thing, and that is what they should have done in the first place.
I can always depend on you to think outside the box. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
