Hi all. My 5 month old pup managed to get a small dot of something very sticky and hard on his muzzle, about 1/4" back from the top of his nose and overall the size of a pea. I tried wiping it off with warm water with no luck, I ended up kind of scraping it off with my finger. It was almost like super glue, that sticky and that solid. Anyway, it ended up pulling all the fur on his muzzle out with it, about a pea sized amount, to now reveal his skin underneath.
My question is: The fur on his muzzle will grow back won't it? I hope so. It's just so short and uniform in length, it's not like the rest of the fur on his body.
It'll almost certainly grow back. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> But if it keeps happening or the skin seems to be infected or there's no regrowth after a few weeks (muzzle hair doesn't seem to come back as quickly as body hair) then it's worth a pop in at your vet to see what's going on.
