When is it good for her to bark or not bark at people in the car? I went to a drive thru today and she was barking and barking at the window person. Gabbi is 10 months old and was in her crate in the back. I told her quiet and she quit. If people walk near my car she barks and Im not really sure when to stop her. She just started ignoring people/fisherman on our walks. She used to bark at them while on the loose lead, but not while on a heel. Now she watches the bike riders and joggers go by and we just stroll by the fisherman w/out any problem.
Gabbi is a pet with drive. Is it ever good to let her bark at people while we're in the car if she is "just" a pet?
Thanks. I just wasn't sure about letting her bark at all since she has just quit barking at people (mainly those fisherman) on our walks. I've never owned a puppy before and I'm trying to do her justice and not make 10 million mistakes, only a million. My other dogs were adults when I got them and submissive the complete opposite of Gabbi.

it sounds like you have a great dog and are doing well. But if I were you, I'd start up (if you haven't already) with a good trainer to make sure you both continue on the right road. Working with someone who's trained HUNDREDS of dogs really does make a difference as far as immediate feedback, great hints and help, and tons less frustration/confusion/mis-direction for both you and your pup.
And classes are fun!
