Hello I am new here and I found this site while looking for info on how to raise two puppies at the same time.
First let me say I have had pets all my life and currently have two older dogs and a couple of cats. Raising two kittens is no problem but I didn't realize that 2 pups are a different story. These are mixed puppies but they are from the same litter. Now after looking around the site it seems that I did a bad thing by trying to save two and give them a good home. Can someone post some positive things that will help me in my training. Those of you who have done this I am sure will have helpful tips. It is so hard to find homes for pups these days so I was hoping to be successful as I think their sibblings my end up at the shelter so I thought I was doing a good thing and I hope I wasn't wrong for this. Any advice would be great.

Get 2 dog crates & at least 1 outdoor kennel -- House, feed, train & play with the pups separately...
Otherwise, they will become MUCH more attached to each other than they are to you & they will act like wild animals instead of well-behaved pets <:-O Also buy the DVD below immediately:
I have two crates now and these dogs even though they are only nine weeks old cry alone. Can that be broken so late?
The female goes nuts without her brother and now I am considering getting her a home. I am attached and originally thought I was helping them both out but now I am thinking this can't be done to the dogs benefit. Now I am nervous the new family when I find one won't treat her right so I am really upset all the time.
Do yourself & these pups a favor by re-homing one of them -- You could contact a local breed club rescue or no-kill shelter for assistance on how to screen & educate prospective new owners...
I hope you got Ed's DVD, "Your Puppy 8 Weeks to 8 Months", because it will be a huge help to you in raising a pup!
