did you check the dog's vomit for blood or anything unusaul?? if not then fast the dog for 12 to 24hrs. but monitor closely. if no imporvement at the 24hr mark then call your vet. or call vet if dog gets realy lethargic. i just had a prob with my female GS with hair balls and throwing up.
only throwing up a clear fluid like he had drank water nothing else in there it's sad to see him sick but when he goes out to throw up he is trying to dig a hole for it and he never has dug before hate to laugh about it cause I'm concerned but it just shows you they know what's up now if I could only get him to poop in there instead of the daily pooper scooper. thanks again!
Al,
You can give him pepto-bismol. Give him the dosage for a 12 year old. This should settle his belly. You should check to see if he's dehydrated, do this by lifting the skin on the back of his neck. If it doesn't go down quickly and it stays up, he's most likely dehyrated. You should take him to the vet. Dehydration can worsen his condition. In the mean time, feed him small ice cubes every 15-20 minutes. If he throws this up, he should see the Vet. Hope he starts feeling better, I hate to see my "kids" sick too. Good luck, Brandi
