I was talking to Konnie yesterday and we started wondering if we could host an ASR trial up here ( CT. ) So, i called my friend Will up and he told me some things that have to be done to even think about hosting a trial and one of the things was having competitors. If there's people that would possibly be interested in coming to Ct in the spring, could you pm me or post your thought's on a trial in the Northeast? I'm just trying to get a feel for potential turnout. Our groups decoy is an ASR level 1 decoy, so that's in our favor. This idea is in it's ameobic stages. All comments are appreciated,
Thank's
AL
Wow. Due to the overwhelming response to this topic, Al and I are having trouble getting back to all of you in a timely manner. Please be patient with us, and we will respond to your PM's and emails in the order received.
Seriously though...nobody wants to do an ASR trial with us up here in the northeast? We have access to some really great potential trial locations!

I think you are too cold up there Al. Keep telling you, you just have to move down by us...
Al,
I get tons of email from people from the midwest and uppereast coast. You need to get around to all the boards and post it to get a good feel. The only reason ASR isn't there is NOT from lack of interest everyone up that way is interested, but everyone is waiting on the next person to bring it there. It's like a big crowd, and the guy on stage says hey you come up here, and everyone looks around at each other. We happen to have a certified decoy that has worked our last few trials living up there in CT. If you guys want I'd be happy to get up there and show you all how it's decoyed, trial set ups, some of the ones I'v seen, how to handle in a trial (after loosing enough handler points, in trials you learn, LOL). It wouldn't be a sanctioned workshop but you would get to see what it's about, and I wouldn't charge anything other than expense of driving up there and a cheap rat and roach motel will do just fine! I'v slept with worse after doing 12yrs in the Infantry
If you want a sanctioned workshop with judges and decoys, you will need to let the BoD's know ASAP so they can plan it, with folks working regular jobs they will need to coordinate for the time off and what not, but they would be happy to do it. If you guys want something sooner, let me know and I'll come out.
