However, when I got home I read the label and it said do not give to puppies. Would it be alright to give to him since he is 7 months old? Or not? THanks.

It's pretty darn hard IIRC. They probably don't want people getting upset when they see their puppy bleeding all over the thing. I also notice they say it is "not suitable for toy breeds". That makes me think the danger of broken teeth is what they have in mind.
