I bought this bone for my 7 month old GSD because it looked like he would like it a lot. However, when I got home I read the label and it said do not give to puppies. Would it be alright to give to him since he is 7 months old? Or not?

Regardless, I can add that you don't want to leave any manufactured treat and the dog alone together. <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
Well, bags of puppy foods generally say to feed them to one year of age so maybe that's the age commercial food companies consider a dog to be an adult. I'm just guessing here but, like Connie, if I was going to feed one to my dog I'd err on the side of caution.
I think the problem with giving it to "puppies" is the possibility of breaking puppy teeth on it. It's pretty darn hard IIRC. They probably don't want people getting upset when they see their puppy bleeding all over the thing. I also notice they say it is "not suitable for toy breeds". That makes me think the danger of broken teeth is what they have in mind.
