Took Mierra to the vet a few days ago, for her checkup. The vet told me she has a umilical hernia. He expained what it was and I have been monitoring it. I have read all the posts concerning this topic and I'm getting mixed opinions. I seem to be leaning toward what others are saying about a hernia the size of a dime which is the size of my pups. She probably weights about 30 lbs now and the hernia is still between the size of a penny and a dime but it feels sort of soft and is the shape of a bubble. I am hesitent to push on it to see if it goes back in. What risk do I run of doing this if it is only a fat deposit as well as if it is her intestines sticking through the hole. I wonder if Cindy would still have the opinion that it is inconsequential with the given size of the hernia and the size of my dog. If I have to have this repaired what would be the typical cost I can expect to pay? thx..
