She felt it could only be one of 2 things: scabies (mange) or ringworm which causes a fungus on the skin - but not usually on the ears. They did some tests and won't know for a week or two.

Matt, scabies, as posted earlier, is hard to diagnose. Often, the vet will elect to treat for it if it's NOT something else, and that's what I just did with a foster.
Yeah, we started him on Revolution today - which I guess is like Frontline but also treats scabies - and is pretty expensive. He was about 2 months overdue for a Frontline anyhow.
