My 9 month old gsd has destroyed her plastic crate and escaped having free roam of the house and the pleasure of eating cat food. Does anyone have any recommendations for a different brand of plastic crates or even a metal one. This is a crate similar to the one she was in http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=1357&N=2001+114010 I have one like this for my older dog that her and a previous dog have used with no problems. Any recommendations/links will be helpful. Thanks everyone. <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'd invest in an aluminum crate of sorts, there's alot of places that sell em at various price ranges, generally $350 & up, but worth the investment if you have an escape artist on your hands.
We had custom crates made for the back of our camper by WT-Metall (went through a US distributor). They are VERY solid - we feel much more secure with those than the plastic types of crates. I realize you are looking for something in your home - so you probably don't need anything custom made. I just wanted to mention this because our aluminum crates seem WAY, WAY more secure than plastic crates. Well worth the investment for an escape artist - at home or on the road.
