I'd heard long ago about this, but unfortunately forgot about it b/c I hadn't had a problem. I had heard this warning from an anthropologist who is also a breeder and a trainer. She said she'd never heard the reason in the dog world, ironically, but it was a widely discussed topic in anthropology. Something about instincts from waaay back when and some other stuff I forgot. Anyway, thanks for the replies. I couldn't believe the sudden show of aggression, and agreed that there was definitely something to the theory...but why? This is a warning I'll heed without fully documenting the reasoning behind it. <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
