hello Francesco,
I will be in Syracuse from Nov 22-26th.I would love to come by and meet you and see your dogs, drop me an e-mail and maybe we can set something up.
Thank you,

A few months ago, I started doing sprints up hill to build his explosiveness (reaction time), which is critical in protection. I was just experimenting a little bit, but found that you can build up the muscles a dog uses to move from a standing position better when you add some resisitance, such as a hill. Also, running back down the hill builds up his brakes (stopping power).
Actually, it seems to be ideal for better timing on the "send away" in Schutzhund, as I can tell now he's able to run flat out & almost stop on a dime, or chg directions more quickly.
Dear Beth,
I start to work my dog for speed aroud the age of six months, using a little trick with the ball. Later on I train them like athletes, what I mean , I break down an hour of training between sprint and pulling
One thing you have to understand, your dog can have all of the stamina in the world and be built really muscular, if he doesn't have an extreme desire to reach that goal at the end of each exercise ,he will never reach his top speed, and that is the real secret of speed in the trial.
I hope that I have answered to you. So good luck to you and let me know.
