Ok, this whole article is about cats, but they are comparing commercial to raw. First hole that I see is that it is made up entirely of rabbit. Second is it doesn't give food amounts which also makes me wonder a little. I found this while looking for ground rabbit suppliers and this was the first site on the list. Sorry its about cats. If its worth discussing great, if not great. I hadn't seen it before and wondered if any of the experienced people had. BTW this isn't deterring me or making me doubt my decision about feeding raw, in fact I think it just proves that you really need to feed variety.
Michael, So what is the answer or cure to the Taurine deficiency?
Did I miss what they did to make the diet better, like add something to the rabbit diet beside supplements I like to know what other foods you can add. (I am not big on supplements)

They just supplemented taurine. I wonder what would have happened if they had fed a more varied diet. I gathered from it that they free fed, twice a day, several cats from the same bowl. Yes, the point of feeding a natural diet is to mimic what they would eat in the wild, but we are also mimicing plentiful conditions where prey is abundant. It looks like their study wasn't very plentiful in that they only fed rabbit, no mice, no birds, no eggs, no lizards, no frogs, no bugs,.........
