I recently donated all of our treats to the local human shelter EXCEPT for the KONG Treats which are made from liver and state that they are Wheat Free. Our pup also enjoys Cranberries. We bought them for the rabbit, but the pup loves them too. And since I have seen cranberries listed in the GOOD Dog Food, I figure that they can be used as a treat too.
However, for the most part TREATING has been Eliminated except during bath time or when learning a new command.
I will be trying that LIVER TREAT idea that was posted on here to make our own treats.

I use Natural Balance food rolls in all flavors for treats. We actually call it "doggie crack" since the dogs LOVE it (I cut it up into small chunks. I also use small chunks of celery or carrots since two of my dogs like that.
If you are looking for "keep em busy for a while" treats, I give recreational bones or a kong filled with peanut butter or cream cheese with chunks of Natural Balance mixed in. Depending on the dog they last anywhere a half hour to 2 hours. My hound licks it clean and then cleans it some more just to make sure he did not miss anything. and the recipes you can find on here for treats work well also.
Until The Tale of the Lioness is told, the Story will Always Glorfy the Hunter
Yes I am looking for treats that will last and keep them busy. So sounds like Kong is good? Isn't that those things you can stick stuff inside? Is the outside edible? I'll look it up.
