Sorry for not being clear, 6 ounces three times a day and he weighs 14 lbs. He is doing well and seems to like it. gave him some ground turkey one meal to let the bones pass. Had loose stool from that.
maybe I am weird but I think it is cool watching him crunch his chicken parts and enjoy it. He liked the kibble also but not like he seems to like his new diet.
My wife would argue the weird part with you. Another ? I have is when can I go to twice a day feeding, he is 11 weeks old now. I know this is still to soon but what age would be good? ( high drive Malinois)

I put my pup on twice daily feedings at 6 months and that has been fine for him. He's growing like a weed and at 8 months is trim at 70 lbs. He is not a high-energy Mal and I don't know if their requirements are different.

I kept my GSD pup on 3 small meals a day until he was about 9 months, but from 6 months to 9 months, it was more like 2 meals plus a snack!! He is now almost 15 months and I feed adult dogs 2 times a day for life. When I track (usually 3 times a week), the morning meal is just a snack because I do food in footstep tracking. If I don't give him a small feed before tracking, he is too gonzo & nutzo on the track!!
