Im just wondering how long does a cairn terrier carry a pups for. How long do the pups feed from the mother. When do you start to feed the dog solid food. Is there any advice anyone can give me for raising pups. And last but not least how many pups can a cairn terrier have.

gestation is 63 days, they'll nurse for as long as you allow. But the best is to introduce puppy mush at 4 weeks (some people start at 3 weeks.They still nurse from the mother and most of the time are fully weened at 6 weeks.I've seen females that will still nurse their young at 7 weeks.As far as how many pups, your guess is as good as mine....(I've never owned one )
