Talk to the hospital manager (NOT the doctor) and see if you can arrange some kind of payment plan so you can get your dog treated. Most hospitals have a "no billing" policy but I also know most hospitals will work with a client when it is in the best interests of the animal.
See if your vet offers Care Credit, which can provide you a line of credit to get through this. You can apply through the vet's office, on the phone, or online and you can get it within a few minutes.
There are many organizations which provide financial help for people with sick or injured animals. We just went through this with a client of ours. Several different organizations offered $100-$200 to help him pay for a major surgery Call your local SPCA and find out what's available in your area. You might be very surprised what you discover.
I have a lot of sympathy for your situation but honestly, I am feeling a lot of frustration reading these posts. There is nothing any one of us can do HERE to get your dog the treatment it needs...only you can do that. I hope you do.
I dont have two dogs now. it was my boyfriends dog and i split up with him and have moved to my parents house. and he has been sick before this, once a week but didnt think anything of it.
now its recently turned to every day.
the vet didnt seem to worried by him being sick, she suggested she take him to monitor because she thought i was working full time but as i am not i can do the monitoring.
she said give it a day or two and if it gets worse bring him in asap!
IF i thought my dog was in any pain or danger i would have him at the vets in the blink of an eye even if i had to sell myself to do it!
the best place for him is with me because he panics when with strangers and this would traumer him further.
i have considered rehoming and this is a minor glitch in my finacial life. i will get past it.
i have my dogs best interests at heart and i came here to seek advice and see if similar occurances have happened to others.
thats for the pond i dont think thisn is the source, it might be but i think its just due to him being under the weather from the op and the problems the vets caused him by providing the wrong cone size.
Like i said i will take him without question if this carrys on,
Hi bru wasnt sick this morning, he was licking his lips alot for 10 mins but he doing alot better, he got a real apitite but i taking it slow to make sure he not sick,
Hopefully this is the beginning to good health

That's good news, Toni!
I think you're wise to take it slow...no sense in overloading a sensitive tummy. Give him bland food in small amounts and make sure he has access to fresh water.
I hope this is the beginning of better times for you both
I can understand your being very hesitant to subject him to the trauma of interacting w/other people . Poor dog.
You sound like you really do care very, very much for him. Still, if the health problems continue it sounds like you also realize you must overlook the emotional trauma to get him the physical/medical help he may need.
Good luck and keep posting to let us know how he's doing.
He was sick a little bit yesterday but this morning he has not. so im hoping thats it now, we finnish one type of drug yesterday and thats the one says monitor vomiting so im hopefull
WOOHOO! ANOTHER DAY SICK FREE! i think he in the clear now, and i no its not 7 days but i take the cone off last night to see how he was with it off and he not bother to lick and he almost completely healed, will probably keep it on at night for couple more days but should be ok
