I am taking my pup to the vet soon, but I hope to get some feedback here.
I trust the vets here as much as I trust the doctors, which is not a good thing, most of them are prescription writers, with little diagnosis.
Over the last 24 hours my 7 month old Shiba pup has been acting strange.
She is off her food, and lacks in energy. Last night and this morning she also seems to have trouble getting her bit off the floor. She will flop down and when I walk around she just stays there and looks at me, this is completely out of character because she never leaves my side.
When I ask her to come she will slowly get her front up, but she is having a hard time getting her back end up, it looks like she's paralyzed.
When she does get up she appears to be walking normally, no limp or anything, and her tail is wagging. But, she will soon flop down again.
I hope to get some suggestions as to what might be happening, so that I can direct the vet into certain actions if he decides to just crank out his pen and prescription pad.
The last proper meal she had was the honest kitchen Preference mixed with an egg and some chicken hearts.
