It's a good DVD. I was able to attend a Flinks seminar a few weeks ago, it was awesome. The guy has forgotten more about dog training than I will ever know. And he is humble and one of the truely nicest guys I know of.
Andrew, I have been looking for mention of any potential dangers with that kind of (new) material; so far, nothing.

thanks Connie for your efforts. I appreciate it on this thread, and indeed on every occasion that you go to work to find and organize information for the rest of us.
Apologies for the hijack Andrew. The 2-ball game does build an energetic recall in obedience. You're hoses also appear much cheaper than a Kong for sure. Got me thinking -- I am going to look for some old garden hoses to chop up.

I found an old article about puppy toys (from the time when Kongs first came out) that concludes that heavy new rubber (like we are talking about here) is safe as long as it's too big to swallow and as long as it's examined regularly for damage (to make sure it can't have pieces chewed off and swallowed).
Makes sense. Stress evidence on the rubber would make me toss it, too, after watching that E-Vet episode about surgical removal of stuff dogs ingest (pretty unbelievable what they can and will swallow!).
My dogs love their kongs, and I don't think that a tough rubber hose would be an issue as long as it has been cleaned if it's used and as long as there's supervision while the dog has the hose, because they will eat anything, including rocks, among the many many other possible things .
As far as the 2 ball game, I've also have the video that Ed states that it's not the best game to play with a dog that's a sport/SchH/PPD prospect because it turns the dogs nerves on and promotes mouthing.
