i recently got a very cute puppy ACD. i am interested in him beoming a theropy dog because he is very affectionate with people. I heard the pod casts of being allowed to use workingdog in training vests for the dog, would this be a good idea for a theropy dog in training? or should i get him use to being greeted by people around town, or what. sorry if this is a stupid question or in the wrong thread.

Hi, Tyler,
How old is he? The pup's age will have an influence on what kind of obedience work you start, etc.
I think that the early training of a therapy dog is mostly very good socializing, which to me means taking my dog(s) to many different kinds of places; the more the better.
