Hi all,
Just wanted to let everyone know that because of YOU, ALL of you, Koda is on his way to becoming a leaner and happier dog! No one has ever told me he looked overweight and like I said before, I see him every day and didn't notice he was fat.
Jan is going to help me get Koda started on a good diet and my new above ground pool will be ready for use in a day or so and that will be a really great way to exercise all of my dogs after their walk. My husband and I are still working on finding the appropriate ladder or steps for the dogs to safely get in and out of the pool. The pool rim is soft so I have to find an 'A' frame type ladder or steps for both sides.
I can't say thank you enough for everyone's advise. You guys really know your stuff and I knew that this would be the place for me to find my answers.
I am vigilant (?) about gaining Koda's respect for me and he no longer is the "cock of the walk". He gets to go for long walks and he gets to play with his favorite ball with me as long as he continues to bring it and leave it. He is really good about this and always has been. I think he is a keeper.

Great news Sandra!! I just want to say, that you have a lot to do with it as well. You took all the advice positively. We have a lot of new members who become offended because this is one of the few boards where the dog's well being comes before the owner's feelings. I'm glad you accepted all the advice! You are doing a great job.

Doggy Docks This is Expensive but I bet your husband could make one. Good luck with all the good work you two are doing.

Thanks you guys!!!! If I didn't think you all were giving me good advise I wouldn't return here but you are and it's ALL about the dogs, not me. When I aquired my dogs I promised to care for them and love them until the end and that's what I'm going to do.

By the way, those of you who have posted pics of your dogs, the dogs are really beautiful.
