I think i want to stick to something that is descriptive of a Mal personality, too much energy, outrageous drive, and living to bite.
My older Malinois' name is Riot. Its very fitting. He's completely outrageous and wild when in drive (and when not in drive too, come to think of it). However, if you're gonna name your pup Riot, he has to live up to the name!
A Malinois breeder friend of mine insists on letting his kids name the pups. This last litter consisted of Daryl, Cleetus, Pee Wee, Gladys and Roxy. Nice assortment, eh? Ugggh!
I took Pee Wee home and re-named him Crash. Much more fitting as he seems to be intent on self-destruction.
Ok,so I am debating between Rukkus and Riot. What do you think?
I read somewhere that dog's respond more sharply to names with a hard consonant in the middle (that is, "audible turbulance" in between vowels...) - in that case, Rukkus outweighs Riot. I personally like the way a name structured this way sounds, but I also know plenty of great names that don't follow that rule...
Also know a GREAT boxer by the name of Rukkus - and boy does he fit the name!! If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with Rukkus, it's more exhuberant and mischeivous...
So, I don't think I really helped, did I?
