We ordered this book because we thought it would be a nice addition to the allergy information on our web site - WRONG !!! Do not waste one nickel of your money.
What a waste of good recycled paper. Once again a perfect example of a Vet know knows little to nothing about the health care issues of dogs.
Not one word on vaccinations as a cause of allergies. He blames diet and genetics. Granted it's 20 year old information but then dogs have been around a tad longer than that and these guys are saying what many Vets pass off to pet owners.
Bottom line - look elsewhere for good information on allergies for your pets.
Dr. Messonnier's culprits (over-vaccinating and poor commercial food) are explained well, as is his multi-faceted approach. His book can give the dog owner the information and language to discuss and ask for treatment intelligently with the vet (and to look elsewhere if necessary).
There are a couple of new pieces of info that he didn't have yet, but I thought his book was a very good overview. I've recommended it more than once.
