how old is your dog? when mine was younger i would give him pig ears. They would keep him occupied for a quite a while. after hearing warnings about them, I asked my vet. he told me that they aren't great, but some dogs handle them very well, to take my cues from my dog. If my dog didn't have any signs of stomach upset or diarhea they would be fine, but only a couple of times a week. as he got older he started inhaling them so fast the benefit wasn't worth the risk in my mind, so I quit giving them to him.
but I'm sure there are others on here who actually know more than my vet, believe me, it has been proven in my mind.....

Ditto.
I think an overdose of pigs ears can cause blockages (inhaling a whole bag).
Cow hooves would be a good recreational item (anybody out there had a problem with those?).
