They mostly eat chicken backs, necks, feet but I'm trying to add some beef heart or liver once or twice a week.My labrador retriever has no problem with this, but my GSD vomits the organ meat (both liver and heart) moments after he eats it. This happens every time I've tried to feed it. Anyone know why this might be happening? Also, is anyone familiar with the Solid Gold brand of canned green tripe? Just wondering how it compares to fresh green tripe (which I have yet to find a sourse for). Thanks and Aloha Aloha`oe Our beloved Chief RIP

Does the dog consume it again and keep it down or is it an end of game response? Honestly, unless the dog is keeping it down a second time, I would go with allergy. Shellfish has the same almost instant effect on some people I know (poor souls) and it is immediate and rather violent. I have not tried the canned tripe. There is a Yahoo! group called K9Nutrition that would be a good place to ask. It is a high volume raw list, but with that comes more experience in dealing with strange reactions.
