I am going deer hunting this weekend (not shotgun though.....using a .308 or my 25.06 ).....YES!!!!....got a doe and a buck tag. WOO HOO!!!!
I am lucky, the hunters here know to bring their carcasses to me and most of them also take coolers now and keep the "gut" so I can get what I want out of that as well........it is AWESOME!!!!!!
I am going to add some deer "trimmings" to the apple and sweet potato soup....the dogs will love that!!!

Dog food time tomorrow at 0:dark thirty......
I am actually going to try and have Doug video tape it....It is still pretty warm here so all dog stuff will have to be froze before they get anything.
I may wait to get my doe until it snows....
I do have a question for Connie and the "raw gang".....since I pheasant hunt, If I just "breast the bird out" (just take the breasts for us) rather than clean and cut the whole bird, can the dogs have that carcass, feathers and all, or should I clean it first?
