Widget thanks you all for your concern, and wonders what kind of funeral turnout he'd have...
David, glad she seems to be feeling better. By any chance, was she wormed at the same time? Xander & Co. were wormed and the next day or two they were a bit subdued, a few were vomiting, and they weren't terribly interested in food. They all had their fair share of worms, and it seems that the dying worms released toxins into their systems which in turn made them sick. I kept them hydrated, and as soon as the worms were out, they were happy campers again. Doesn't sound like the same thing, but you never know...

Hey all, wanted to give you kind folks an update.
She's been as active as ever, she's now wolfing down her chicken wings and beef liver, I've cut out the ground beef and replaced it with chicken breast meat (not a lot of it, because the wings tend to have a good amount of meat on them). She hasn't thrown up since the inital post, her stools are still loose but all her test results came back.
Blood work is fine.
Fecal came back totally clear of parasites. (Yes! I'm a good doggy dad!)
Urine came back normal.
I'm concerned about the loose stool, but dietary changes like going to mostly poultry and adding beef liver(!) may have contributed to that. She's still insanely energetic, of course. Drinking has held steady, still checking her gums every morning. As of now, the only sign of trouble is the loose stool.
On her third (and last) dose of oatmeal she wised up to the fact that she could nose around and pick the chicken breast meat out of the oatmeal without actually eating the oatmeal. When she was digesting the oatmeal her stools were larger, but still loose and soft.
I'm going to be keeping an eye on her weight, and feeding her to gain. She needs to.
Thanks for all the support. I'll keep you appraised of her symptoms and see if anything new rears its ugly head.

I almost want to make a new thread for this, but this one has all the background info. As you know, she had been refusing her food (eating dinner, refusing breakfast) but since switching her RMB and muscle meat to poultry she's been eating a lot. I mean, she'd eat 3 pounds a day if I let her (she's at about 1.75/day)
Well, during the time that she refused food her bowel movements slowed down and greatly decreased in size.
Then I switched her to poulty. Her consumption is now (as mentioned) around 1.75 pounds / day. Since the switch her poo has further decreased in size. She goes 2 times a day, and it's smaller than one of those bite sized snickers bars. I mean, really, two little pods per day. Her energy is up. Water consumption is good. But the poo! It's disappeared! She must be really processing the daylights out of her food because the leftovers are virtually non-existant. Twice a day, tiny tiny poo. I literally cannot get over how small it is. I'm sure it'll increase when she recovers from what was a very greatly reduced calorie diet. But really. The cats I had growing up pooped bigger than this.

my cats are on grain-free kibble, which has reduced their poop size, but the dogs still manage the same size or smaller with the raw....it's incredible.
i'm glad her appetite is continuing to be good w/this diet.
