I have been feeding Kodee Orijen for a little while, and he's doing great on it. He is almost done w/his big bag of Puppy formula, so I ordered the Adult formula this time (he's 4-1/2 mos old). While I was ordering, I decided to try THK Embark. When it comes, should I alternate THK at one meal, and Orijen at another? Or should I feed them on different days? Or would it be better to feed all of one kind of food til it's gone, then start feeding the other food? He also gets Salmon Oil, and Vit E.
On a side note, he seems to have decided that he doesn't like raw eggs all the much. Should I cook his egg, or just skip it all together?

If you want to feed both, I would feed them at different meals; you will always have a food he's used to if you run out of one or the other.
BTW, I am all for variety, personally. I'm not a big kibble fan ("Oh, really, Connie? You've never mentioned that!") but you have two good foods there, and all commercial foods are better when you provide variety. JMHO.
Thanks, Connie. I am not yet brave enough to go raw, but I am gradually getting more comfortable with the idea. I thought I'd try THK to see what it's like, and eventually I may start adding raw chicken, etc. It's hard to get out of the mindset that we grow up on (dogs should eat "dog food."). I think I am getting there.
