Or should I just skip it altogether? I haven't given up on getting Kodee to eat raw ones, but he just seems to pick at his food if I mix a raw egg in. If he just refuses to eat raw ones, is cooked (like scrambled in the microwave) better than none, or is it even worth bothering with if he won't eat it raw?
i forget what you're feeding kodee - instead of eating the raw egg on it's own, could you mix it in w/the rest of his food? i usually mix it in w/ground meat, if kodee likes that it might be worth trying to hide the egg.
Currently he's on Orijen kibble. I just ordered THK Embark, to give him some variety. I don't feed raw (yet), but I finally started out w/raw eggs added to his kibble (mixed in). He ate it the first couple of times (he didn't LOVE it, though), and the last time or two he picked at his food and left it alone, for the most part.
Maybe when THK get here, i could mix it into that? Since it sounds like it's a pretty wet mixture once it's rehydrated. If he still doesn't like the raw eggs (maybe my pup is weird ), is cooked egg worth adding?
Cooked egg would give him some variety, and it certainly won't hurt. If you cook it slowly on low heat with the yolk intact you will retain the greatest nutitional value.
