I have just recent come accross leerburg and have read a few things on annual vaccines. I have heard of vaccinosis before but have not spend considerable time researching it.
My question is will most vets be OK with checking titers instead of giving a vaccine? I am somewhat leary of not having any immunization. I live in an area that is known for Parvo problems. I have had cats I adopted from the SPCA that died miserably of panleukopenia.
So I am apprehesive of not giving any vaccines ever, but I certainly would like to limit them. I have fed Innova in the past and also a raw diet. I am sure my vet would be opposed to the raw diet, (very nice woman but the office is plastered with science diet posters and z/d foods) and I doubt she'd like me just checking titers.
Most progressive vets are OK with titers. If they are not, I find another vet. I live 1 mile from a vet, and I drive 18 to one who will work with what I choose to do for my animals.
Rabies is the only vaccine required by law. No one can make you do anything other than that.
