Hi Kori and all
We took Fred Yesterday to Germany for his Xrays, afterwards the Vet said he thought they were okay but he said that it was not up up him as the Xrays have to go away somewhere to be looked at, but they take his recommendations into consideration on what he puts on the form,
They also they wanted his Pedigree, and Chip Number,
they also did a DNA bloodtest which was going away to the same place
Having never done this before I was a bit suprised as i thought i would get the full results there and then.
The Vet spoke a little english but it was a job to fully understand what he said
The Girl at the desk thought about two weeks for the result of the Xrays, so we will have to wait with bated breath and hope he is okay, but it is a long time to wait
Fred was a model patient, a little whiney going in but was a good lad otherwise, another G.S was just in the Foyer and Fred took no notice of it at all, i was pleased with that
They weighed him and he weighs in at 70lb
I will let you know the end result when it comes
I am glad to hear there is some good news coming from the vet. Even though he isn't the one who makes the final desision, I am sure he would have noticed anything obviously wrong with Fred. Good luck!
I know this is kind of an old thread, but what did you find out? I was just thinking about Fred b/c I am getting ready to call a new vet tomorrow re: getting prelim x-rays done on Kodee's hips...
