I just ordered some stuff from your web site and i did not see any kong toys? I was wondering why you don't carry this item? For my dog anyhow it is his main reward item.
Hopefully you will carry it some time in the future.
Mike - I have never carried Kong's because I don't like them and I don't like the the guy who owns the company. He is a first class jerk. I'll tell you a story about this guy.
Last year I made a mistake on my web site. We sell Orbee balls and they carried a product that I described on my web site as an ORBEE KONG. I did not realize that KONG was trade marked. I should have known this but I didn't and it was my unintentional mistake.
Rather than just send me a letter or an email telling me of my mistake he sued me saying these Orbee products infringed on his patent - NOT HIS TRADEMARK. Now this made no sense to me - why sue a retailer and not the people who make the product. Better yet why not just call and say "Hey you can't use the KONG TRADEMARK to describe another product.
Well the day the law suite arrived we took the web page down. That was not good enough for the JERK. We had to go through the process and sign a huge agreement. BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.
I have given some thought to taking all of the paperwork on this law suite and putting it into an article on my web site so people can see what kind of jerk this guy is. I have not totally ruled it out.
If you like Kongs you need to take a look at these Orbee balls - in my opinion they are 100 times better. http://leerburg.com/788.htm
What I have never liked about Kongs was the way they bounce when you throw them. They take crazy bounces - I have seen ball crazy dogs that are chasing them wrench their backs when chasing them.
I did have to laugh - some time ago I saw an add where they advertised KONGs as NOW HAVING something added that show up on X-rays. HMMMMMMMMMM Am I the only one who laughed at that one?
So with all this said - I think you see what I will never sell Kongs.
Thanks for the response, and yes i can see why you don't sell them. For me besides the fact that the army dictates what kind of toy is used for each dog the main thing is anything besides a kong gets ripped up if he has it for more then 10-15 seconds.
Anyhow thanks again for the response, i think disappointed was a stronger word then i was aiming for.

I support Ed posting the literature he has on this guy.
The only thing I use Kongs for is to stuff them full of goodies and freeze. My lab tears them apart in minutes so the claim that they are nearly indestructible is one I do not believe.
